ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Lucio Fanti is an artist who has made lifelong learning and passion for the arts his trademark. After earning his artistic high school diploma from the Liceo Artistico Vittorio Veneto in Turin in 1972, he embarked on an intensive educational journey that began in 1982 with courses at companies producing art paints and supplies, and continued in 1983 with a specialization in airbrushing under the hyperrealist Architect Pierluigi Gatto.

In 1987, the Oristano State Art Institute invited him to teach airbrushing, demonstrating his ability to impart knowledge to both teachers and students. The 1990s saw Lucio expand his artistic repertoire: he attended courses in decorative artistic ceramics in Monteluppo Fiorentino, Deruta, Vietri sul Mare, and Pesaro, and in 1996 he perfected his skills in ceramic firing techniques and glass fusing thanks to a leading furnace production company.

In 2002, he deepened his knowledge of the Raku technique, while in 2006 he obtained a specialization in glazes and applications on ceramics and glass by collaborating with a prominent company from Vietri-Salerno. His exhibition activity is equally rich, ranging from group shows such as “Il Cavallino portafortuna” in 2010 and “La Fiera Donna Sarda” in 2011-2012, to installations like “Donne tra i canneti” in 2019 inside the nuraghe of Casa Zapata in Barumini and “Anime Nere” at the Museo dell’ossidiana in Pau.
