Mirko Baricchi was born in La Spezia in 1970, after high school he moved to Florence where he attended the Institute for Art and Restoration at Palazzo Spinelli, after graduating and working briefly as an advertising graphic designer he set off for Mexico a journey that marked his life as an artist, there he worked as an illustrator for a well-known American communication agency but he never abandoned his passion for painting, on one of his many visits to Mexican museums he was captivated by the artist Rufino Tamayo, he left his job as an illustrator and soon took part in a group exhibition at the Siqueros Museum receiving positive reviews from the critics, after more than two years he returned to Italy moving to Milan where he worked in advertising and publishing

During this time he decided to devote himself exclusively to painting, in 1998 he returned to live in La Spezia, Cardelli & Fontana presented his paintings and almost immediately a collaboration and a relationship of great esteem beyond just a professional one began, his first solo exhibition at that venue took place in 1999 and since then Baricchi has not stopped.
